Music Magazine Archive Bolsters Birmingham Museum’s CREEM Exhibit
Michigan Archival Association’s Fall 2017 newsletter, Open Entry, published an article from Birmingham Museum’s graduate student intern, Lori Eaton. Rock ‘n’ Roll in the Suburbs: CREEM Magazine returns to Birmingham discusses the research support provided by NA Publishing’s Music Magazine Archive: Rock to the museum’s exhibit and Reading Room. Birmingham is home to CREEM’s editorial office and the exhibit commemorates the magazine and its famous work of the magazine’s rock critic, Lester Bangs, and its founder, Barry Kramer. The Rock collection amasses every issue of CREEM magazine and Extra CREEM digitally preserved for music journalism history and provided for researchers, and guests at Birmingham museum.
